Conscious Communications celebrates team and client growth
We are celebrating the appointment of two new team members and expansion of our client portfolio in the education sector, in the midst of COVID-19.
Freddy Logan and George Pickford join us as Junior PR and Marketing Executives, bolstering the team to a total of 10 full time members of staff. Freddy and George will be working across a number of our clients, including: International Baccalaureate across Africa, Europe, Middle East and Asia Pacific, CHS Group, the British Nutrition Foundation and Velocity Commerce.
Joining our team during remote working conditions is no mean feat. Commenting on this, George said: “Starting a new job amidst a global pandemic has been one of the strangest experiences I’ve had for a while. However, strange doesn’t always mean negative; joining the team has been absolutely fantastic so far. Not only are they all extremely friendly and brilliant at what they do, but they have given me the chance to get stuck-in and involved from day one.”
Our ambition is to do well by doing good and influencing others to do the same. Corporate social responsibility (CSR) is at the heart of our business, it is part and parcel of what we do. Our approach has been recognised by the public relations and marketing industry and the wider business community through a number of accolades, including: PR Week’s ‘Force for Good’ Award and the National SME Awards ‘Community Business of the Year’.
It was this ethos that caught Freddy’s attention before he joined the team. Freddy said: “I was first drawn to the agency because of its commitment to driving positive change and its emphasis on CSR. Having now been at the company for a month, it was both refreshing and a relief to see that commitment put into action. My first week coincided with the launch of Cambridge 2030 (which Conscious Communications has been a driving force behind) – an organisation tasked with confronting the vast levels of inequality and poverty within the city of Cambridge. Following the development of this and other initiatives has reassured me that there is plenty of opportunity for positive change both locally and on a wider scale.”
Alison Taylor, our Managing Director, said: “Although not the most conventional start to the year, we have enjoyed an exciting few months at Conscious Communications. It is really rewarding to not just be celebrating the growth of our team, but our client roster too. I am really proud of Freddy, George and the rest of the Conscious Communications team, who have all risen to the challenges to ensure business as usual so that we can continue to deliver impactful public relations and marketing support for our clients.”
