Hanna, Senior PR and Marketing Executive:
Please give us a short introduction to you, how long you have been at Conscious Communications and your job role.
After working in hospitality sales and marketing for 10 years, I joined Conscious Communications as a Senior PR & Marketing Executive in June 2021 to support the team’s delivery of public relations and marketing services, with a conscience.
Can you give us an overview of your first few months at the agency?
The fantastic thing about working at an agency is the diverse mix of clients you have the pleasure of working with and, as a result, my first few months have required learning and adapting to our clients’ industries including education, car technology and insect repellent. I was lucky to join as our annual FXP Festival took place; seeing the commitment and dedication the team have to their social responsibilities, as well as contracted clients, is incredibly motivating as a new team member.
Is there a piece of work you are particularly proud of, or a reason why you enjoy the role?
I’m proud of the results we achieve for each of our clients, from a record year of International Baccalaureate results day coverage for Impington International College to securing exclusive broadcast segments. Delivering creative content that resonates with our clients’ target audiences is something I am particularly passionate about and, recently, we achieved an engagement rate of 17% on Facebook for one of our clients; with 1% being the industry benchmark, I am thrilled to see our strategy paying off.
What inspires you most?
Our clients and the positive impact they have on the community, whether this is through improving road safety or providing specialist education for children. Helping them achieve their mission through the strategic delivery of powerful content and building meaningful relationships continually inspires me to go above and beyond and secure results on their behalf. Being surrounded by creative, encouraging team mates who have an incredible amount of knowledge and expertise is a bonus!
What are some of your favourite visual public relations/advertising campaigns that other brands have created?
One of my favourite brand campaigns is the 2015 Battersea Dogs and Cats home #LookingForYou, which used interactive technology (radio-frequency identification tags) in leaflets to trigger billboard ads featuring Barley, the dog. The ads were designed to evoke an emotional response in passers-by and encourage them to either adopt a dog, donate, or get involved with the organisation. It was incredibly innovative, powerful and memorable.
Every year, I look forward to the Spotify Wrapped campaign because it never misses a beat. It demonstrates how powerful personalisation and utilising available data analytics is for a campaign.
