Brief overview
FIRST® LEGO® League is a robotics-based life skills competition where young people (9-16) work in teams to develop the confidence, problem-solving, teamwork and communications skills they will need in the 21st Century engineering workplace
Our approach
Our challenge, set by operational partners The Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), Qualcomm Technologies, Inc. and Whirlpool, was to engage schools from underprivileged communities with Cambridge, Peterborough and Bristol tournaments and turn them into a high profile, exciting and enriching team STEM experience
Our impact
Through school outreach and a proactive media relations campaign to promote the tournaments, our team has secured over 50 children at each tournament over the last few years
